To make things worse, more fucking spam! Gah!

This is a possibility I think the reason you’re all getting Error number 30 is because of the way your browser downloads mi2.txt.

It could also be how I uploaded it. To fix this, I have zipped the pre-release mi2.txt and hoped it makes it work. You will need to download everything else normally. If there are any problems with them, let me know. This particular mi2.txt also fixes a spelling error in Elaine’s Mansion (I’d better not muss up Elaine’s sheets).

If you’re interested in starting your own, non-English project, COME TO THIS CHANNEL and I will set you up with information and things you need to get on with it.

I think Mibbit allows you to join other channels, unless I set it to not. Just use SilverEX on Windows, I say. Google it.

If anyone out there actually has the original Monkey Island executables, could you dig out your DOS PC or just install DOSBox and tell me if the project works without ScummVM? Thanks.

Oh yeah, and Ubuntu 8.10 is out. If you can find it, I uploaded it to a secret area… Shhh…

Today we welcome onto the team the talented and multi-voiced Steve Henel, AKA: Dreg.

Steve will be giving voice to Stan and Herman Toothrot as well as returning for the MI1 project in 2010. So for the first time in Monkey Island history - we have a single Stan! And he’s not Previously-Owned!

Stan is of course the key to one of the Map Pieces and he finds the time he’s trapped in his Kozy Koffin to rethink his business plans.

Herman, on the other hand… Well he’s just odd.

Thanks to some excellent volunteer service, we’re already preparing for the Monkey Island 1 Project all the way in 2010.

David Rogers, AKA ezekiel000, has begun translating the Monkey Island 1 dialogue (despite it’s huge mess!) into a full script. This will leave a lot more time in the future for recording the lines instead of panicking about scripts like I am now.
